The Selection Committee for Horse Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as the "MPRV SR") held the autumn horse breeding evaluation at the "Topoľčianky" stud farm on October 16-17, 2024.
The Commission positively assessed the readiness of all facilities and horses for the autumn bonitation. All breeding facilities and the surrounding environment were prepared with dignity. The Commission positively assesses the good condition, nutritional and health status of the horses, as well as the corrections, hoof trimming and the overall appearance of the horses being shown, and the state of reproductive indicators and birth rates in all herds.
The Commission proposed to include the Lipizzaner stallion Conversano XIII-47 for the basic herd of Lipizzaner mares and the O’Bajan IX-7 stallion for the basic herd of Shagya-Arabian mares in the breeding season 2025.
The Commission proposed to include the English Thoroughbred mare Clones in the basic herd of Slovak warmblood breeding mares.
The Commission expressed satisfaction with the submitted complete bonitation records, which include current body measurements, current reproduction status, proposal of horses for the class list (e.g. sale), or proposal of horses for breeding training. During the bonitation, horses were proposed for the class list.
