The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky will cooperate in the field of education, science and research, engineering counseling, designing scientific research and development projects, as well as promoting mutual cooperation.
This Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed on March 11 by Rector of SPU Klaudia Halászová and Director of Stud Farm Topoľčianky Samuel Sokol. In the field of education, cooperation will include, for example, selective lectures for students and partners of Studs. The National Stud Topoľčianky will provide opportunities for students' practice, graduate internship, as well as job offers for SPU graduates. Professional staff of Studs will participate in the topics of the final works for students, their leadership and will also participate in the state final exams.
Further cooperation is featured in consulting activities, the participation of the Stud Farm in the career days at the SPU or the presentation of student professional activities.
The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has long been involved in the areas of breeding, training and use of horses. At the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, the bachelor's degree program Hipology offers. The graduate acquires a wide range of knowledge and skills in the field of horse breeding, can implement breeding programs, ensure optimization of welfare, animal nutrition, hygiene and disease prevention.
