Day of selling horses

On April 15, 2023, the Horses for Sale Day was held in the premises of the Topoľčianky National Stud. Despite the rainy weather, many visitors and interested parties came. From the outdoor arena, the event moved to the covered hall of the historic riding school, where horses were shown on hand, free and under saddle.

21 horses of different breeds were presented from the breeding of the National Stud. Unfortunately, breeders from the private sector did not use this opportunity to promote their own work. In the morning, those interested had the opportunity to watch horses being shown on hand. The head of stud books, Emil Kovalčík, provided detailed information on the pedigree, parents and current level of training of each horse. This was followed by a break, during which all visitors could look at the presented horses in the stalls and, if interested in buying, request another demonstration free, under saddle, or in a harness.
