St. Nicholas at the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky

Even this year, the little ones did not miss the arrival of St. Nicholas at the National Stud Farm in Topoľčianky. As usual, this was preceded by a rich accompanying program. The biggest attraction for the audience, however, was the fairy-tale story that unfolded in the magical atmosphere of the approaching Christmas holidays directly in the historic riding hall of the stud farm, until the arrival of St. Nicholas and his helpers.

The gates of the National Stud opened at 3:00 PM. In the historic stables, visitors could see all five breeds of horses bred at the National Stud, including Lipizzaner, Hucul horse, Shagya-Arab, purebred Arabian, and Slovak warmblood. Despite the slightly chilly weather, many took the opportunity to ride in a carriage pulled by the noble Lipizzaners and enjoy, in a somewhat unconventional way, the magical atmosphere of the approaching most beautiful holidays of the year. Visitors could also enhance their afternoon with excellent punch or a small snack from the buffet. The twinkling decorations and the sounds of Christmas songs created the unique atmosphere of the upcoming Christmas season.

The fairy tale story began at 5:00 PM. Under the directorial guidance of Boris Kodak, the vaulting department, and other riders from the National Stud Farm, we revisited the significance of goodness, humility, and kindness, drawing inspiration from classic fairy tales such as Cinderella, Frozen, and Snow White. Witches and devils from hell were also not missing. The magical atmosphere of the entire program was enhanced by impressive music, professional lighting, and beautiful costumes. A new feature was artificial snow in some parts of the program, which especially brought smiles to the faces of the little ones. The program culminated with the arrival of St. Nicholas and his helpers on a carriage pulled by beautiful Lipizzaner horses. The youngest eagerly recited poems and were sweetly rewarded. St. Nicholas handed out gift packages to more than 120 children.
