On 20 May 2026, a pre‑selection of stallions was held at the National Stud Farm. A total of 6 stallions participated in the pre‑selection, including 2 Shagya‑Arabian stallions in private ownership and 4 stallions from the National Stud Farm (2 Shagya‑Arabian stallions and 2 Lipizzaner stallions).

Owners of the stallions are required to submit the DNA profiles of their stallions. Stallion Mersuch III‑8 SK was granted approval for the Shagya‑Arabian and Arabian Thoroughbred breeds based on his sport performance (endurance riding), in accordance with the breeding regulations of the international organization ISG. The confirmation of performance (sport career) issued by the Slovak Equestrian Federation in Bratislava forms part of this record.

Following the pre‑selection, performance tests were held for mares of the versatile‑use type of the Shagya‑Arabian and Hucul breeds owned by the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky, conducted in accordance with the STN 466310 standard.

The pre‑selection and performance tests were carried out according to the time schedule. The Committee states that the horses were well prepared and well presented for the performance tests. The Committee proposes that, following the performance tests, the mares be included in the breeding programme of the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky.
